Some serious self care ....


is needed today!!! I've known for quite some time now that in order for me to be the best version of myself for my family, I HAVE to take care of me.


This is non-negotiable!


When my kids were little, I would say to them "do you want a happy mommy or a grumpy mommy?" They ALWAYS chose happy. Sure I sacrificed sleep to hit the gym at 5am and perhaps they didn't love having the same dinner 3 nights of the week but it worked and we have these healthy habits that are just part of our routine now.


For us self care starts on the inside - nutrition, supplements, vitamins are a huge part of our daily routine. We also read and listen to books for our minds! Then we work on the fitness to help the heart, muscles, and just overall feel of our bodies.


Sometimes other ways of self-care slip through the cracks and I am feeling the effects of that big time. I need to be active for my mental sanity - yet at the same time, have been dealing with a hip that is not very happy with me right now. I've definitely improved my hip care by adding in my runners yoga and range & repair workouts but the massage / chiro routine I used to have has fallen by the wayside.


TODAY THAT CHANGES. I am literally heading for a massage in 10 minutes and have my chiro booked for next week. I want to live a long, healthy, active life and I know what that looks like. Yes, I realize I couldn't have gone for a massage when it was closed .... I also didn't need to wait this long to deny what my body needs and THAT my friends is my message to you this morning.


This isn't about following my routine or even what I was / wasn't doing. This is entirely about you doing what YOU need to feel good and to live your BEST life. Make it a priority TODAY because who knows what will happen tomorrow!?
